  5. If you are considering a Pentium system but crave more
  6. power for modeling, animation and other compute-
  7. intensive tasks, I have two MIPS workstations for sale
  8. (64 Mb RAM each) for under $4,500 apiece.  You would
  9. need four Pentium systems to equal them, at a cost of
  10. $20,000!

  12. The cost for 64 Mb of new RAM alone is around $3,000. 
  13. For not much more than that, you get a complete system!

  15. Unlike the first two Raptor products, these are TRUE
  16. STANDALONE WORKSTATIONS with keyboards, mice, and
  17. Windows NT.  So they'll run practically any regular
  18. (non-NT) Windows software as well.  One is 4 months
  19. old, and the other 10 months.  Both have 2-year
  20. warranties, and are performing flawlessly.  These are
  21. fully loaded workstations (minus monitors) and not
  22. stripped-out shells.

  40. monitors and the application of your choice
  41. (Standalone LW, Elastic Reality, etc).

  43. The economics are simple: these TWO faster machines
  44. cost a heck of a lot less than FOUR slower ones. And
  45. for tasks like modeling, even a room full of networked
  46. Pentiums won't speed things up: you need more power 
  47. IN ONE BOX.
